**Announcement for Hockey Coaches Event**
We’re thrilled to announce that Rudi Hiti Academy is organizing a special coaching seminar in collaboration with the Slovenian Ice Hockey Federation and the Slovenian Olympic Committee. This event, designed to enhance coaching skills, is supported by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
The Academy has a history of successfully hosting similar events, drawing in coaches from a range of countries including Western Balkan nations (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania), as well as Austria, Italy, Hungary, and Spain. Upholding EU sports policies, the Academy seeks to promote gender equality in sports and is actively encouraging women coaches to attend, employing various Erasmus+ projects tools.
The seminar, from July 31 to August 5, 2023, will take place as a COACHING WORKSHOP and a COACHING SYMPOSIUM on August 3 and 4, 2023. Both offer an excellent opportunity to learn and participate under the guidance of renowned international coaches.
Key speakers at the COACHING SYMPOSIUM include:
– Tomaš Pšenka, esteemed general manager of the Slovak U20 National Team and manager of MHA, presenting “Teaching Player Roles: A Shift in Slovakia’s Youth and Junior Hockey Training Practices” and “Mastering the Game Behind the Scenes: Organizing, Planning, and Pre-game Preparation.”
– Lars Hulten, coach of HC Frölunda, unveiling “The Developmental Strategies of a Renowned Club and Cross-cultural Coaching Experiences.”
– Alex Sandsten, coach at HC Frölunda, discussing “The Importance of Technical Skills in Ice Hockey: Frolunda’s Approach and Philosophy.”
– Kjell Snibb, renowned goalie coach and coaching educator from Sweden, focusing on “Goaltending from a Swedish Perspective.”
