Frankfurt, Nemčija – 4. november 2024: V evropskem športu se odvija prelomni trenutek! Projekt *Building European Safe Sport Together* (BESST), podprt s sredstvi programa Erasmus+, razkriva ključno spoznanje: večina evropskih športnih organizacij je še v začetnih fazah implementacije varnostnih standardov. A spremembe so v zraku!

**European Sports Organisations at the Forefront of Building a Safe Sport Culture!**
Frankfurt, Germany – November 4, 2024: A pivotal moment is unfolding in European sports! The *Building European Safe Sport Together* (BESST) project, funded by the Erasmus+ program, reveals a crucial insight: most European sports organisations are still in the early stages of implementing safeguarding standards. But change is on the horizon! With fresh publications and tools developed by BESST experts, sports organisations now have practical resources to build a safe sports environment free from transgressive behaviour.
Daniela Negreda from IGNITX highlights, “The BESST project has sparked interest across Europe. These new methods enable sports organisations to immediately implement safeguarding standards based on two years of research and collaboration with European partners.”
The project has introduced a modern definition of “transgressive behaviour,” covering all forms of power misuse in sports. Additionally, it provides guidelines, legal frameworks, and adaptable educational resources. Project partners, including the proud partner *Hiti Academy Bled Hawks*, along with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and European academic institutions, are united in the goal of ensuring every participant in sports experiences a safe and respectful environment.
